About
—
My life’s work has centered on how adult education can impact social change and empower marginalized individuals and communities.
I’ve worked hands-on with diverse populations, ranging from farm workers to Filipino live-in caregivers. I have trained and taught volunteers, undergraduate students and seasoned instructors.
I have established strong methods for collaborating, developing, and implementing literacy, EAL and community development programs, and have shaped associated assessment policies.
I am a praxis oriented educator that connects research, understanding trauma, and language learning, to facilitating inclusive classrooms for students living with multiple barriers.
